Trent Henderson has been the pastor at HP since February 2007. He is
passionate about seeing the Great Commission become a reality in the life of
the church. Trent graduated from Baylor University and Truett Seminary. He's
also been known to play some golf and other sports as well as walk around the
office without his shoes on. The absolute best thing he's ever done in life was
marry Ginny in May, 1998. They have two boys, Jack and Sam.
Roger Hammonds became the Minister of Education and Administration
at HP in August, 2006. He started preaching in high school and graduated
from East Texas Baptist University and Southwestern Baptist Theological
Seminary. He has served in pastoral, youth, educational, administrative
and missions ministries of seven Texas churches and was Director of an
RA Boys Camp over his 40+ years of ministry. Roger married Joan in 1971
and has two daughters and sons-in-law and four grandchildren.
Kyle Jackson is a graduate of ETBU with a degree in Biblical Studies with
an emphasis on Youth Ministry. Kyle became the Youth Pastor in May, 2007,
having served here in an interim capacity for 9 months. He has a desire to
teach the future of America what true discipleship looks like. Kyle loves to
have fun, play sports (especially volleyball), and have a good conversation.
Being the oldest of 4 kids has helped him appreciate family. He has spiky
hair, lots of freckles, and wears flip flops - but we like him anyway.
Carlos Ordonez is the facilities manager of HP and helps us keep things
running smoothly. Carlos has served here since 1990 and is the only staff
member who can do those fancy push-ups where you clap in the middle. He is
married to Miriam and has two children.
Jamie Reed started her tenure at HP in 1998 as the His Kids preschool
director and transitioned to the role of Children's Minister in March, 2008.
Jamie is full of life and energy - both of which help her keep up with her
husband Mike and teenage son. She also used to be a flight attendant, so
she makes sure we all wear our safety belts snugly around our waists, can
identify the exits, and know how to use an oxygen mask in case the office
should experience a sudden drop in air pressure.
Malinda Watson has been working at HP as the part-time Administrative
Assistant since July 2006. Previously, she worked in the Graphic Design,
Office Support Services, and Corporate Communications and Marketing
departments of a Houston-based energy company for 23 yrs. Now she tries to
keep the rest of the staff out of trouble, succeeding 78.9% of the time. She's been
married to Don for a long time and has two children.
