We know the next few months will be months of change. We know change is hard. But we also know God has good things ahead for Heritage Park and the people that call this their church home. This is a page to try to keep everyone up to date on next steps as we look for a new Pastor.

After July 12th, the role of the Personnel Committee is to maintain the relationship between the church and the Interim Pastor, and the supply of the pulpit when the Interim Pastor is unavailable or otherwise absent. In addition to this, the Personnel Committee is responsible for assisting our staff members throughout the entire interim period, providing them with support for their needs as they continue the ministry of our church.

If you have any questions about this process, please feel free to see Toby Boyett and/or Kimberly Wilson, or any member of the personnel committee.

God is faithful and the Personnel Committee is prepared to recommend an Interim Pastor to the Church Body on Sunday, July 26th, during the next scheduled Church Conference. Trent Henderson assisted the Committee in the search, and we are excited to present the candidate for approval next month. The proposed candidate will be ready to step into the role preaching on Sunday, August 9th, contingent on approval by the church.

In the meantime, we have a number of folks ready to preach to us each Sunday between now and August 9th - familiar folks like Jarrett Richardson, Justin Eubanks, and EJ Kemper.

The Personnel Committee has initiated the process of selecting a new Pastor by organizing a church-wide vote on Sunday, July 12th. During both services on July 12th, Heritage Park Baptist Church Members will receive a blank ballot to nominate any number of prayerfully considered names that the member feels would represent the church body, in prayer and faithfulness, to find the next Senior Pastor of Heritage Park Baptist Church.

The Deacon Body will take then take the next steps. They will tally to nominations and will meet the evening of July 12th to prayerfully consider them. Once the deacon body has the list of names that the church has nominated to serve, each nominee will be visited by two deacons requesting that he or she to prayerfully consider serving on the pastor search committee.

The names of the nominees who are willing to serve will be brought before the church, on behalf of the deacon body, during the business meeting scheduled for Sunday, July 26th. Once the Pastor Search Committee has been "commissioned" by the church on that evening, then they will be asked to begin their search..
