We behold the God who is Powerful and become people who Humble Ourselves.

Joshua 5:13-15

Power

Initiative

• God has the freedom to act in accordance with His character and will (Psa 115:3)
• He can do more than He does but in His wisdom does not
• He cannot self-contradict
• He cannot deny Himself
• He cannot lie
• He cannot cease to exist

Authority

• Our experience of His power depends on whether we align our lives with His purposes or choose our own desires

Presence

• Power accompanying His personhood is a source of fearlessness (Deut 20:1), comfort (Psa 139), and hope (Psa 23:4)

Action

• He does not posture but uses His power to accomplish what He wills (Psa 115:3)
