God is faithful to His Word

• Previous promises become current realities
• A majori ad minus - from greater to lesser (Rom 8:32): If he has been faithful in the most costly and most difficult, we can trust Him to be faithful in everything else too

Matt 28:7-8

God is able to handle our real lives

• Fear: God does not care or He is not capable
• Joy: God desires and provides for our joy
• He is aware, engaged, and unafraid

God is relational at His core

Two defining attributes of this relationship:

• He is Lord - He has authority and sovereignty
• He is worth - He is worth our allegiance and action

God is redemptive in His purpose

• Redemption transforms the nature of the relationship
• Redemption transforms the people who enter relationship with Him
