• NO GUARANTEE of passing down faith, but it is the widest and most traveled road to faith

Identity

Heb 11:24

• Identity is always received, not derived
• Spirit reminds us of who He has made us to be (Rom 8:15-16)

Future

Heb 11:26

• Moses did not expect his reward to come immediately or from Egypt
  • When the future is clear, the present is different
• Moses was a different man headed to a different place and so walked a different way

Disgrace

Heb 11:25-26

• What we endure today is more valuable than what others enjoy today
• How are reproaches greater wealth?
  1. Point us to greater realities
  2. Prepare us by removing what we don't need
  3. Perspective on life now and life to come
• Three good questions
  1. Am I true to Him when hardships come? (1 Pet 4:19)
  2. Am I true to Him when He entrusts me with something? (1 Tim 6:17-19)
  3. Am I true to Him when others despise or judge me? (1 Cor 4:1-4)
