Loving Well: what is it?

• Biblical love: willing God's best for the beloved
• There is an object of love (general nature and specific nature)
• There is a definition of love the HE determines (His best for the beloved)

Loving Well: how do we do it?

• We carry them to Jesus
  • Prayer - if we don't pray for them, we can't preach to them
  • Community - bearing burdens, sharing encouragement, friendship
  • Having faith for them - to see what they cannot

Loving Well: what opposes it?

Mark 2:4-12

• Roof - physical challenges
• Faith - seeing the need and meeting it on Jesus' terms
• Pharisees - questioning accusers
• Difficulty - struggle to understand the interaction
