• Do you expect to grown in the grace and knowledge of Jesus (2 Pet 3:18)

Whom do you trust?

1 John 2:1-2

• You can trust yourself and your past experiences
• You can trust Jesus
  • Advocate - pleads mercy for us
  • Propitiation - pays debt, purchases favor

Where is your commitment? 

1 John 2:3-6

• Is my trendline toward obedience? (1 John 2:3)
• Is His love impacting me? (1 John 2:4-5)
• Is there anything off limits to Him? (1 John 2:5-6)
