Answer: anyone I choose to make a neighbor, because neighbor is a verb.

Stop and see others

Luke 10:30-33

• Don't be so busy that you miss the opportunity (via schedule or distraction)
• Don't be so religious that you miss the person (they are not a problem to be solved)

Compassion is required

Luke 10:33

• When your gut gets stirred (Greek splangna)
• Contention 1: I just don't love that person
• Contention 2: I tried and got burned
• Contention 3: I have compassion fatigue

Sacrifice is required

Luke 10:34-35

• Personal involvement
• Personal investment
• Personal resources
• Personal resolve

How do we neighbor?

• How many geographic neighbors can you name? How many ball-team parents?
• Where do your normal rhythms need attention? Who in them needs your compassion?
• Where does your world need your sacrificial love?
